Devotional – The Queen Life – Day 13

Wednesday March 17, 2021

When we consider making an application for a job, usually the first thing that comes to mind is how much money we will be paid for the task that we will do. You will agree with me  that for the most part the job description is not as important as the reward that we will receive. As I continue to grow in knowledge of the true meaning and purpose of life, I have come to understand that the God of the Universe is faithful; He gives due reward for every deed: the good deeds, and the not so good ones. As it is written:

The wicked earn deceptive wages but, the one who does righteousness gets a sure reward.

Proverbs 11:18

Throughout the Bible we encounter God’s character; He always does what He says He will do. In helping Israel to understand what to expect from Him, He told them this:

Now if you obey me fully and keep my covenant, then out of all nations you will be my treasured possession.

Exodus 19:5

Our God sees us as His daughters; His “treasured possession”. As Queens we are invited to fully obey and keep the commandments of God. When we do so in surrender to our King we receive The Full Reward of all the Promises of Blessings. We enjoy peace as we commune with God, discover, pursue and fulfill the purpose for which we were created. A relationship built on faith and obedience is what our KING desires; we are rewarded with joy, peace, good health, prosperity and all good things when we practice to put First Things First. When our relationship is a priority we never have to live in fear or with worry, because the bond that The Queen and Her King shares gives her access to His counsel so she has no fear of the future, and can laugh at the days to come. (Proverbs 31:

Sometimes the journey of faith can be lonely and even challenging, but we should know that regardless of all that we may encounter, there is surely a Full Reward to be received- such that cannot be compared to anything else:

Rewards of Faith and Obedience

  • For we know that all things work together for the good of those who love the Lord and are called according to His purpose. (Romans 8:28)
  • You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in you. (Isaiah 26:3)
  • The fear of the Lord is clean, enduring forever, the rules of the Lord are true and righteous altogether. Moreover, by them is your servant warned in keeping them there is great reward. (Psalm 19:9-11)
  • And everyone who has left houses or brothers or sisters or father or mother or wife or children or fields for my sake will receive a hundred times as much and will inherit eternal life.

As I have journeyed with God over thirty years, I can testify that the Word of God is true in this regard; our KING has shown Himself to be faithful as I have sought to live in faith and obedience to Him. One practical way I know if my actions are acceptable to God is that at the end of each week, I ask the Lord how He felt about my overall attitude and actions over the past week.

When I do well, being Daddy’s Little Girl, I am rewarded for my obedience. Sometimes the Holy Spirit instructs me to treat myself to a manicure, a pedicure, a slice of my favourite cheese cake, a special meal or a new hairstyle. You see Daddy wants us to be practical about our relationship with Him; He wants us to relate to Him much like a child relates to a parent in trust, dependence and love; He desires to bestow upon us The Full Reward that He has in store for us.

As we continue our Journey with Him we are promised the reward of eternal life; we will reign with Him for ever in His Kingdom. The QUEEN LIFE is about making our relationship with God a priority, and being consistent in getting to know, understand, trust and love God more each day. Know beyond the shadow of a doubt that your genuine efforts to live as a Virtuous Woman will receive The Full Reward of your faith and obedience. It is a reward that is priceless and has eternal benefits; money cannot buy it, and your entire lives and futures depend on it. It is worth everything that you will ever be required to do to become your best self.

GOD BLESS YOU RICHLY…

CONSIDER

  • How can I be consistent in my relationship with my King?
  • Does the work I do, and the spiritual efforts I make deserving of God’s Full Reward?
  • How can I be more practical in my faith walk to ensure that I am able to receive what God promises?

MY PRAYER FOR TODAY:

Dear Heavenly Father,

I thank You for the opportunity to be Your daughter, I am grateful that You continue to cheer me on as I walk with You each day, Please help me to remain faithful and obedient to your instructions, so that I can continue to receive Your reward of peace in this life and in the eternal life to come when I will reign with You for ever. Thank You for allowing me  to see things from Your perspective, and to see your goodness in all things.

In Jesus’s Name I pray – Amen
