On April 9, 2005 the story of what is now: The Virtuous Woman Project began; this means that the vision has been fifteen (15) years in the making.
It began with a prayer; one that the Lord heard and answered. One of the founders had questions about her womanhood and desired to understand how she was expected to live her life.
The prayer was simply: “Lord help me to understand my role and purpose as a woman”. The answer came through the Scriptures; it was the first time I had read the passage at Proverbs 31:10-31.
A search for answers to life’s many questions about womanhood led to the discovery of what is undoubtedly a Gift from God – The Virtuous Woman in all her splendor makes the spiritual journeys of women so much easier.
The Virtuous Woman Project is now a reality, after a decade and a half. The Founders guraded the vision with faith an prayer knowing full well that the vision was for an appointed time.
On February 22, 2020 the vision went into high gear with the hosting of the first Birthday Celebration and Crowning Ceremony. The event was hosted as a Black & White Formal Affair as A Celebration of Queens.
The woman in Proverbs 31:10-31 was a Queen; she bore the character traits of a godly woman who lived a balanced life powered by an intimate relationship with God. She epitomizes a women who pleases God in all that she does; she is a woman to be admired and emulated.
The vision of The Virtuous Woman Project is anchored in faith; we believe in the power of God to transform our hearts and minds to reflect His image. Perfection is by no means the goal; instead we humbly submit ourselves to the Holy Spirit to be molded into the women we were created to be.
The mission of The Virtuous Woman Project is to support and celebrate the faith journeys of women who desire to please God. Our motto is: “Where Women Discover, Pursue and Fulfill Purpose”
Purpose is the treasure that God deposits within our hearts to reflect His image and make a positive impact in our world. The Woman in Proverbs 31 provides a model that we can adopt and be confident that we will reach the mark of righteousness by FAITH.
