Devotional – Her Purpose… Her Passion

Don’t you just love a great story? I sure do. Stories can be quite intriguing and keep you on the edge of your chair wondering what will happen next. Can you imagine for a moment that you are sitting at dinner with Father Abraham. YES!! That’s right, Abraham himself, the Father of the Nation of Israel. So, Abraham shares the details of his walk with God- the visit to Egypt, and Sodom, receiving the promise of a son, the requested altar sacrifice; he bears it all. Then he says to you: tell me about your faith journey. How would you begin Telling Your Story?

The Devotional Theme for the month of May is Her Passion…Her Purpose. We continue to encourage and inspire women to dare to discover, pursue and fulfill their God-inspired purpose. In these times, we know for sure that we are not here by chance, but we are destined for greatness; more so, we are leaving nothing to chance. Instead we are digging in because we Want It All. We take every moment to tell My Story and Your Story.

That’s right, you will remain resolute because you are committed to the Queen Life that compels you to live like the royalty that you are as Daughters of the King. For this reason, every moment that passes is an opportunity to record Your Story.

In our daily living, each of us have a choice of two paths; we can choose to live life on our terms, and by the world’s standards, or, we can embrace God’s love and be guided by His Word to enjoy Life in the Palace. Whatever path you choose, Your Story is being recorded- it becomes Your Story. As you sit with Abraham, and share the details of Your Story, how do you feel about the path you took?

Today, we are invited to stop and reflect on our faith walk; dare to be brave and boldly examine your own heart and mind. Ask God to shine His light to reveal the truth about the path you are on; write a review of Your Story- how your faith is progressing, or just standing still. This exercise is important because you are destined for greatness, and in order to unearth that greatness then the work must progress: Remember what Scripture says:

Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one gets the prize? Run in such a way as to get the prize.

1 Corinthians 9:24-25

The Queen Life involves a woman developing Passion for Her Purpose. At the time you were conceived, The Seed of Purpose was planted within your heart; that seed, when watered with The Word of God grows into a tree that bears much fruit enough to feed all who so desires to be fed. This is the impact that Your Story will have as you stay the course and allow the Holy Spirit to lead, guide and direct you on the path of righteousness; along which you will find Eternal Life.

As you relate Your Story to Abraham, you can tell him the path you took that led to Getting God – understanding His heart and mind, and knowing your True Worth because you adopted a Queenly Mindset and made a conscious decision that Rising Up was the only option you were willing to accept because Sitting Around in the presence of God was the only way to hear When God Speaks so you could learn to be a Model Woman who is committed to Living in Season and Balancing Love so that all that you do is For the King’s Pleasure. As you conclude Your Story, you say to Abraham:

“Like you, I am called God’s Friend because I trust Him with all my heart and strive to obey Him as an expression of my love for Him.

Then Abraham smiles at you and say to you; the Bible spoke well about you; truly you are a Virtuous woman:

Many women have done nobly, but you surpass them all.
