The Journey of Faith and Obedience

by: Elaine Simpson

The  Lord said to Abram, leave your country, your people and your fathers’ household and go to the land I will show you. I will make you into a great nation  and I will bless you (Genesis 12:1-4)

The story is told about Abram who heard God’s call to leave all that was familiar to venture into unfamiliar territory. I believe Abram must have thought long and hard about this decision; seemingly His faith in God was stronger than his fear and he made the choice to believe that God would take care of him…continue reading

The Journey to Discovering Purpose

by: Shamelia Simpson-McKenzie

Who can find a virtuous woman? For her worth is far above rubies. The heart of her husband doth safely trust in her, so that he shall have no need of spoil. The story of Abraham is one of my favorite stories of the Bible. I have always been intrigued by the relationship that Abraham shared with God, how He directed his path, instructed him, made promises to him and fulfilled them…continue reading

But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was crushed for our iniquities; upon Him was the chastisement that brought us peace, and with His stripes we are healed... (Isaiah 54:5)

What an expression of love that is demonstrated by a Heavenly Father towards His children; in His wisdom He knew ahead of time that at times the human flesh ails, and good health is necessary for us to live with joy and fulfill our purpose. Amidst the reality of illnesses and diseases, our God has given us the Promise of Healing.
