A Queen’s confidently accepts her call and faithfully serves her King
Amidst the billions of people in the world, can you imagine that God knows you, and loves you dearly? I hope you know with all your heart that no matter how many other persons are in the world, you are unique, special and greatly loved by your Creator. Some time ago, if you asked me if I believed that, I would have said, not at all; today I know better and I want you to believe too that you are:
…fearfully and wonderfully made…
Psalm 139:4
Being convinced of God’s love is a truth that is known over time; the Prophet Jeremiah needed confirmation from God Himself in order to be sure that He was actually called to be a Prophet to Israel; He wanted to know his True Worth. In the first chapter of his book, Jeremiah shared the revelation he received from God. He wrote:
Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations.
Jeremiah 1:5
This message should have warmed his heart to hear from the Creator that He was born for a specific purpose. Like so many other Bible characters to whom God spoke, Jeremiah had reservations about his ability to fulfill the task that God assigned to him. He openly expressed his concern to God by saying:
Alas, Sovereign LORD,” I said, “I do not know how to speak; I am too young.
Jeremiah 1:6
I remember the first time I heard the voice of God; I received instruction to do something He expected of me. While it seemed strange at the time, I knew beyond the shadow of a doubt that it was God Who was speaking, so I purposed in my heart to obey, and when I did, I received the reward for my obedience. I cannot say that I expected something in particular, but I was totally amazed by God’s faithfulness. The lesson I learned from that encounter with God was that there is “Blessing in Obedience”. I later found a book with the same title, written by Andrew Murray. It then made perfect sense.
After that time, I longed to hear from God again, but I didn’t until two years later. In April 2005, I had another encounter; this time I was determined to never loose touch with God ever again. I was prepared to do whatever it would take to continually hear God’s voice. There is no doubt that He heard and understood the yearning of my heart, and in all my efforts to draw close to Him, He also drew close to me. Like God promises in His word, He was faithful:
Come near to God and He will come near to you.
James 4:8
Much like Jeremiah, Abraham heard God’s voice; so too did Noah, Moses, Samuel, David and many other characters in the Bible. One thing each all had in common, was that they desired to know God, and to obey Him. The result was their discovery of the reason they were born, and each managed to fulfill that purpose. In today’s busy world, it happens easily that we go through our entire lives and never realize our True Worth. We possibly are not aware that we were born for a specific purpose; instead of pursuing that end, we usually search for a career. Yet, in designing us, God gave us gifts and talents which contain the DNA for who we are and what we are to do. When we discover the reason we were born, we are able to live life on purpose, and live in our full potential.
One other thing I have learned in my journey with God is the many times before that first day I heard His voice that He attempted to communicate with me; in being ignorant of the nature of God, I missed them all. After all, I never heard anyone say that God actually spoke to people in modern days. I can say now that “ignorance is no bliss at all’. I am grateful to God for His love and for revealing the truth about Himself; I now know better, can do better and help other in the process.
In today’s Devotional, I am being unapologetically frank; I am inviting you to stop and take the time to digest this truth: God wants you to know Him; He wants you to discover the truth about who He created you to be, and He wants more than anything else for you to become that person. In order to ensure that you are Moving in Power, it is critical that you are Celebrating Dependence on Him, and be committed to Discover, Pursue and Fulfill your purpose.
A Queen’s True Worth is enveloped in the relationship she shares with her King; He is ready and willing to unfold and unwrap the treasures He has placed within her. He created her so she can reflect His image, live in victory and receive His blessings. When all this happens, He is glorified and magnified as the God that He is, and the Queen is satisfied with all the good things the King bestows. Truly the Queen can sing praises unto her God and King saying:
Worthy are you, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honor and power, for You created all things, and by Your will they existed and were created.
Revelation 4:11
Do you have an insatiable craving to know who God created you to be? What then will God say to you as you seek Him for your purpose? What will you do when He reveals it to you. How much passion do you possess to pursue the who that is within you?
A Queen desires to know and understand her True Worth; she is diligent to Ask, Seek and Knock. She believes with all her heart that she is created for greatness, and is always Celebrating Dependence on her King’s guidance. She is very much aware that her success is dependent on her Moving in Power. Undoubtedly, The Heart of The Matter is that a Queen lives For The King’s Pleasure, in all that she does, she Dare to Do Right, because she is Sold Out to the King and His Kingdom.
PROCLAIM YOUR TRUE WORTH…DARE TO DISCOVER WHO GOD SAYS YOU ARE

MY PRAYER FOR TODAY:
Dear Heavenly Father,
The world’s value system cannot compare to the value system of Your Kingdom. I am Your Daughter, and that makes me a Queen. Your word tells me that I am fearfully and wonderfully made, and I believe Your word over every other voice.
Thank you that my True Worth is in You, and You alone. You know me, and You know the purpose for which I was created; You will reveal to me all the plans You have for me, and You will guide me on the path I am to take. May my heart desire to know You more than anything else; may I thirst for Your righteousness so that I can be filled.
I want to discover, pursue and fulfill my purpose so that in everything I do I am Moving in Power – Your Power. May my life bring You glory; always and forever.
In Jesus’s Name I pray – Amen
