Devotional – The Queen Life – Day 20

We’ve heard many things about Heaven; in our minds it is the most perfect and beautiful place our eyes can behold. We imagine images of the Pearly Gates, Streets of Gold, a land flowing with Milk and Honey; these are some of what come to our minds when we think of Heaven. The Bible teaches us much about Heaven; particularly that it is the place where the Creator resides. Surely we believe it to be a place of total perfection and utter bliss; it is a place where we long to be.

Humans have an insatiable appetite for everything that lasts forever; we fear and detest the reality of death; we want to live forever and experience a perfect life. The wise King Solomon teaches on this subject; this is what he says:

He (God) has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the human heart; 

Ecclesiastes 3:11

We know now that our thirst for everlasting life is quite natural, and eternity is God’s promise to us. Our practice of faith is a response to God’s love and a willingness to trust in His goodness. Our God and King never fails in His faithfulness towards His children; His love for us inspires Him to make plans to satisfy the desires of our hearts. That which we desire, we will have – Eternal Life is a guarantee we will have when we take the Pathways to Eternity.  

Our present human experience is preparation for something more glorious. The Bible is candid in revealing the plans and purposes of God. It is no secret what God has in store for us, His children. Though our present realities on earth are joy mingled with sorrow, we ought to know that there are brighter days ahead, and we are to live with hope and in anticipation of that day. Here is the Scriptural reference to God’s plans…

Then I saw “a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and there was no longer any sea. I saw the Holy City, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride beautifully dressed for her husband.

Revelation 21:1-3

Regardless of what our eyes see, and our minds understand about our fallen states and our broken world, we must know that we have a Redeemer Who is gone to prepare a better place for us. Before His death, Jesus revealed God’s plan; one that gives much hope:

My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you?

St. John 14:2

Our human minds may not be able to conceive what that place is like. John had a glimpse of Heaven, and he recorded what he saw. We too can have a glimpse if we ask for revelation of that which we hope for. As women of faith, whose hope is in the return of our Lord and Saviour we should see for clarity of what we are to expect from our God. The secrets of God are available for revelation.

The LORD confides in those who fear him; He makes his covenant known to them.

Psalm 25:14

If the foundations of our faith are to be firm, then we must believe beyond the shadow of a doubt that what God says He will do, He definitely will. This kind of faith is one which God Himself will build by His own faithfulness to you in real time. In my personal encounters with God, I have learned that He desires to earn the trust we will have in Him. He wants the space, place and opportunity to be Who He is so that we can know Him in truth. Our testimonies are the building block of our faith.

Dearest Queen, it is important that you know that the lingering desire you have to be in a place of safety, security and perfection, and be surrounded by beauty and splendor can and will be a reality. That longing for Unspeakable Joy and happiness will be satisfied by the King to Whom we belong. As we put into practice the habit of making fervent and effectual prayer, we will see the answers to our requests and the manifestations of our hopes. Remember our Lord taught us to pray by saying:

Our Father in heaven, hallowed be Your name. Your kingdom come, Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.…

St. Matthew 6:9

 In understanding the plans and purposes of God, and believing in God’s power and willingness to do what He promises, your prayers will do much to cause the will of God to be done on the earth as it is in heaven. The woman who is committed to Showing Up, and strives to live The Anointed Life will experience The Full Reward of her faith. Full means, nothing missing, and nothing broken; it means believing in God’s promise of eternal life and taking the Pathways to Eternity by:

PATHWAYS TO ETERNITY

• Making our relationship with God a priority, putting First Things First
• Embrace The High Calling of God so you are equipped to live in Faith and Obedience to God.
• Take The Long Journey to Freedom and be a student of God’s Word, a Virtuous Woman who Studies so you are Divinely Clean by His Word
• Be committed to Learning to Be Me; who you are and whose you are is your Most Valuable Asset.
• Believing in Jesus and the Ransom Sacrifice for our sins that is Paid in Full.
• Accept God’s True Love, and receive His gift of Beauty for Ashes
• Embrace that you are Daddy’s Little Girl and invest in your relationship with your Heavenly Father; the lifeline of your soul.
• Make being a Virtuous Woman one of your spiritual goals. Be the woman who prays and worships God in spirit and in truth
• Be available to be Transformed by the Power of God and receive the gift of Beautiful Eyes.
• Be curious about the reason you were born; take the time to pursue, discover and fulfill your purpose.
• Bear in mind that Every Moment Matters so that you are Living on Schedule so that you will receive all that God has in store for you. 
• Request a Glorious Reset as often as you need to; always Desiring Guidance so you can successfully live The Anointed Life.

Every effort you make to take the Pathways to Eternity will be honoured by God; each will get you moving forward and headed towards the glorious life that awaits. If then you will keep the destination of Eternity at the forefront of your mind, then you will do well to Show Up at all times and Stay the Course so you can Define Your Faith. ETERNITY awaits, stay on the PATH…the GLORY will be REVEALED. The PROMISE is TRUE!!!

And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Look! God’s dwelling place is now among the people, and he will dwell with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God. ‘He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.”

Revelation 21:4-3
