A Queen feeds on the Word of God; she digests it as His truth

The ultimate and most fulfilling human experience is to know God, to love Him, and being confident that He knows and loves you too. To know this beyond the shadow of a doubt requires knowing His Word and being aware of His truth. There can be many facts, but there is one truth- God is truth. In a world where there is so much smoke and mirrors, it is easy to be misled. What an awesome gift we have to be the daughter of a God Who is Himself truth; He created all things, and knows all things; He has the final say about what is true. We who trust and believe in Him can Live in Truth because we belong to the True and Living God.

Truth is scarce in today’s world; the wide access to the many media platforms that exist provides a mega phone for anyone with something to say; whether true or false. As a Queen who is on a mission to be the best version of herself, and committed to living a life that pleases God, it is crucial to endeavour to always be Living in Truth.

Where do we find truth, and how can we live in it? To find the answer, we can learn from our Lord, and Saviour, the greatest teacher of all time. In Scripture we read:

So He said to the Jews who had believed Him, “If you continue in My word, you are truly My disciples. Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.

St.. John 8:32

On my faith journey, as I crave to know God more, I find that there is no place else to seek and find Him than from reading His Word, the Bible. There are many great books written that give good information, but none can on it’s own lead to the full discovery of the truth about the True and Living God. Within the pages of the sacred book, the Creator reveals His nature, character and essence. Whatever God reveals about Himself is the ultimate truth; nothing can change it. King David, who God called: “a man after His own heart” knew God in spirit, and in truth. His many experiences with God led him to write many Psalms; in Psalm 138, in particular, the king in exalting God shared an important truth. He stated:

I will worship toward Thy holy temple, And give thanks unto Thy name for Thy lovingkindness and for Thy truth: For Thou hast magnified Thy word above all thy name.

Psalm 138:2

The truth about God is that He stands in defense of His Word; whatever He says is true, and it will be upheld. I have proved this many times over as I have journeyed with God; it is the reason I pledge to believe God to bring to pass every word He proclaims. He does not lie; I have been amazed by the many manifestations of God’s truth that I have witnessed during the time I have paid close attention to God’s Word, and His plans for the earth. Everytime He says He will do something, He does it. This is what the Bible teaches:

God is not human, that He should lie, not a human being, that He should change His mind. Does He speak and then not act? Does He promise and not fulfill?

Numbers 23:19

As our God invites us into His Kingdom, we can have confidence that our King will be Who He is; nothing, or no one can change Who He is, and promises to be. As Queens, the act of Living in Truth involves feeding on His Word – it is food for the spirit, and gives life eternal. Everything that we are is revealed in God’s word, everything that is expected of us is found in the Bible; all God’s plans are explicitly stated between the pages of the Holy Book. St James states clearly the blessing we have from God:

Do not be deceived, my beloved brothers. very good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, with whom there is no change or shifting shadow. He chose to give us birth through the word of truth, that we would be a kind of first fruits of His creation

St. James 1:16-18

All in all, as we indulge in God’s Word, we are able to feed on truth ; as we do we can master the art of Living in Truth; we become the first fruits of God’s creation, His heritage who bear His image. With such profound truth hidden in our hearts we are equipped to Defeat Fear. As we read God’s Words, we will soon discover our True Worth; every step we take we are Moving in Power, because the God Who we serve is all powerful.

The Heart of The Matter is that when a Queen is committed to always be Living in Truth. As encouraged by her Saviour she will continue in the Word of God, so that in everything she does, she Dare to Do Right. In learning about the character, and nature of our King, she makes no apology in proclaiming that she is Sold Out to the King and His Kingdom. She is confident in the True Love of her King; as she reads the Bible, and experience the power therein, she proclaims that:

All Your words are true; all Your righteous laws are eternal.

Psalm 119:160

Eternity awaits those who abide in the Vine, Who is Christ Jesus; for them that feed on the Word of God, they will be equipped so that they are rewarded for Living in Truth.

Dear Heavenly Father,

What a blessed gift is Your Word that leads me into all truth. I can live with light in my eyes because when I read Your Word, I can see through Your eyes

I now know that Living in Truth means indulging in Your Word and allow it to change me to reflect Your image. Thank You for helping me to develop a healthy appetite for Your Word, which is truth so that I can be filled with Your Holy Spirit.

I will discover my True Worth so that I can always be Moving in Power. Thank You Lord for giving me confidence to live and serve you with my whole heart.

In Jesus’s Name I pray – Amen
