WEEK 4: THE CASE FOR VIRTUE- GO FORTH: EXUDING THE ESSENCE OF GOD EVERYDAY
Beautiful Eyes…
WEDNESDAY FEBRUARY 24, 2021
“After saying this, he spit on the ground, made some mud with the saliva, and put it on the man’s eyes”. (St. John 9:6)
Our eyes are an important member of our bodies; to be able to see is such a blessing. The beauty that exists in our world should be seen and enjoyed by all; sadly blindness is a reality for some persons and they do not have the ability to see. In his book: The Purpose and Power of Vision, the late Dr. Myles Monroe made a profound statement about sight and vision; it goes:
Sight is a function of the eyes, but vision is a function of the heart.
Dr. Myles Monroe
The question is: to see or not to see? What then is the difference between sight and vision? Let us define both words: sight means: the faculty or power of seeing. A thing that one sees or that can be seen. Vision is defined as: the ability to think about or plan the future with imagination or wisdom. There is another definition of the word vision that is almost identical to sight, but we will be making reference to the latter.
During His time on earth, Jesus made several references to the eyes; in particular, to a person’s ability to not only see, but also to perceive; that is; come to realize or understand something. In teaching His disciples about the value of seeing things in an accurate way, Jesus reminded them of the prophesy of the prophet Isaiah: As God sought for a servant who would deliver His message to Israel, Isaiah answered. In sending Him to do the work, this is what the Lord said to him.
“Go and tell this people, ‘Be ever hearing, but never understanding; be ever seeing, but never perceiving.
Isaiah 6:9
Throughout the Scriptures, there are several references of the Most High God having a challenge with Israel, His Chosen People who continually wandered astray. It seemed they could not keep their “eyes” on God for very long, nor could they understand and believe in His plans for them. As Virtuous Women, one valuable trait is the ability to stay focused, especially on that which is important. It should be that The Queen and Her King share a special relationship that is built strong through her process of being Transformed. The woman who has endured such a process will receive the gift of Beautiful Eyes because she learned to see through the eyes of her God.
While the natural eyes see; there is a greater need for vision; an inner eye. It is through visions that God is able to work through us; it is God’s revelation to us to show how He views the world, and how He wants us to see it to. More so, we will better understand our role and responsibility in the world. As Myles Monroe states; vision is a function of the heart. Therefore, it takes a “heart” that is in tune with the Spirit of God to receive and perceive a vision.
Vision is Spiritual Sight; a special gift that God bestows on His children so that they can understand and enjoy the present, anticipate the future, and make plans to do great things to make it better than it is today.

Jesus was quite concerned about the state of the Israelite’s eyes and hearts. He sought to help His Disciples to understand that the physical members of the body: eyes, ears, mouth, etc. are valuable, but even more valuable is relying on the Spirit of God to gain understanding and insight. This is what He said:
For this people’s heart has grown callous; they hardly hear with their ears, and they have closed their eyes. Otherwise they might see with their eyes, hear with their ears, understand with their hearts, and turn, and I would heal them. But blessed are your eyes because they see, and your ears because they hear.
St. Matthew 13:15-16
We witness Jesus’s passion to give sight; both physical and spiritual sight. The story is told of how He restored the sight of a man who was born blind. After being questioned by the crowd about the reason for the man being born blind; whether it was the man’s parents who had sinned, or it was the man, Jesus explained that his condition was not the result of sin, but so that God would be glorified through his sight being restored.
After saying this, He (Jesus)spit on the ground, made some mud with the saliva, and put it on the man’s eyes”.
St. John 9:6
As a Woman of Virtue and a Queen, having “eyes” that see the way God see are what can be called: Beautiful Eyes. This ability is a gift from our God and King. They are important for us to see and understand the world in the way God sees it so we are able to pray, and work with wisdom so that our world can be a better place. The vision God will place in our hearts is for us to enjoy a meaningful life of joy and peace and also to play our parts to help restore the earth to its former glory of righteousness and justice.
The prayers of a women who has a close relationship with God can be powerful when they are made with accurate understanding of what God has in His mind. In speaking words of faith in God’s ears, He will respond affirmatively in keeping with His will and purpose. This is the essence of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and the crux of the good works that God prepared in advance for us to do (Ephesians 2:10). Beautiful Eyes are in fact a gift, and there is a process involved to receive them.
HOW TO RECEIVE YOUR BEAUTIFUL EYES
Your relationship with God is about knowing and understanding who you truly are; the reason for your existence, and the season of your influence. As you commit to becoming all that you were created to be, with your consent and cooperation, your Creator will lead you to discover all that you are and were born to do. Here are some of the experiences you will have on the journey to receiving your Beautiful Eyes:
Desire to Discover Your Purpose – Every person was born for a specific purpose. With all their good intentions, your parents are oftentimes clueless about who you really are. Only God knows, and He will reveal to you who you are and what you are born to do.
Your DESIRE to know your PURPOSE will bring the answers you seek to DISCOVER your BEAUTIFUL EYES.
For I know the plans I have for you, declared the Lord. Plans to prosper you and not to harm you. Plans to give you hope and a bright future. (Jeremiah 29:11)
Commit to Seek and Find Your Purpose – Your purpose is a secret; it is discovered through seeking; in seeking you will find. Your Heavenly Father has all the answers you seek for; all you need to do is seek.
Your commitment to SEEK will help you to FIND your BEAUTIFUL EYES.
Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. life. (St. Matthew 7:7)
Dedicate to Do the Work to Fulfill Your Purpose – Your whole existence depends greatly on the discovery of your purpose. The success, peace and contentment you seek will be found in the fulfillment of your purpose. In addition to having the desire to know what you were born to do, and committing to seek after it; being dedicated to do the work is what will bring the reward.
Being DEDICATED TO DO THE WORK you were born to do will result in FULFILLMENT OF PURPOSE.
For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do. (Ephesians 2:10)
The Beautiful Eyes you will receive will be the result of your DESIRE to have them, your willingness to SEEK and FIND them and, and the COMMITMENT to use them for the glory of God in FULFILLMENT of your PURPOSE. Those Beautiful Eyes are a valuable asset that will bring you great reward as you use them to bring to pass the life God has in store for you, and to design the life you dream of living. The favour of God will be upon a woman whose EYES are BEAUTIFUL. The sight she has is a gift from God so she learns to see the world in the way her God does, He will bless her with all that she needs to help Him create what is in His heart and hers.
…acknowledge the God of your father, and serve him with wholehearted devotion and with a willing mind, for the LORD searches every heart and understands every desire and every thought. If you seek him, he will be found by you; but if you forsake him, he will reject you forever.
1 Chronicles 28:9
BEAUTIFUL EYES have the ability to create Miracles. May our BEAUTIFUL EYES be the light that will transform the world into the Paradise it was created to be. God bless you richly.

LET US PRAY
Dear Heavenly Father,
Oh that my eyes will be beautiful when you bless me with the gift to see the way You do. I imagine that I will be more hopeful when I see life from Your perspective.
I now know and understand the need to trade my physical sight for spiritual sight so that I will see myself as You see me. My Beautiful Eyes will enable me to see how you designed me uniquely to fulfill a specific purpose that makes the world a better place.
I know that Your beauty will be seen in me as I stay close to You and receive insight into all that I was created to do. Thank You for the gift of sight and vision so that both my eyes and heart can praise You in all that I see and do.
In Jesus’s Name I pray…Amen
